Sideways Pony Tail
Give your hair bun a touch of variation and push it over to one side. For exaggerated effect, you can do a deep side-part. Apply a straightening balm to damp hair and comb while gathering hair into a low pony tail just above your ear. Secure the tail by wrapping it around the base, forming a bun. Bobby pin some section and let small wispy piece slip out.
Flick and Toss
Modify last year's polished look by keeping the top half of the tresses smooth and the bottom part disheveled. A large round brush should be used with the sleek blow-dry from the roots to your chin. Spurt a small amount of texturizing hair spray to the rest of the strands simultaneously twisting small sections with your fingers while blow drying. This would give you tousled tips.
Wild Waves
In 2009, romantic waves rated 4 on the scale of for wildness. This year, go for 11 and you'd never go wrong as far as trend is concerned. Apply mouse to your damp mane and tousle the roots while continuously blow drying. Divide into four section, while hair is still slightly warm and start braiding each. Allow it to cool and after a while undo and flip your head over and shake everything out to get untamed voluminous waves.
Twists Instead of Braids
Doing braid on your own can be quite tricky, so opt for the easy way out and do some quick twists instead. Get a 3-inch section of hair on one side of your usual hair part, and then divide it in two. Form a tight weave by crisscrossing one section over the other. Hold in place with a hair tie that blends into your tresses.
